Sites such as Facebook, YouTube and MySpace were originally created for entertainment and staying in touch with family and friends. LinkedIn, however, differs a lot as it was created almost strictly for business networking. Almost all members of LinkedIn are white-collar workers.
The key for a successful LinkedIn page is similar to any other social network - the more interaction and interactivity, the better the results. Users are given an option to update their LinkedIn status and use question and answer function where most interactions take place. There is also an option of adding links to the business's blog, website and other social networks.
