Facebook Marketing for B2B Lead Generation

Facebook has now reached 30 million users in the UK alone, approximately half of the population. It can be seen as a 'must-have' in the society we live in just like mobile phones and other items that are regularly being used. Moreover, facebook is constantly growing and according to the statistics, there are over 800 million users, of which half log in almost every day - this averages about 17 million users per hour alone. Moreover there are 900 million objects to interact with (groups, pages, communities and events).
Given that level of popularity and user-traffic, it is completely understandable why marketers appreciate this social networking platform. It is a fantastic marketing tool that can provide tremendous opportunities to develop ties with new and existing clients. However, the question lies in the planning and organising of personal fan pages. A 'good' facebook fan page MUST consist of interesting content that people will want to share. There should be links to other pages and websites of businesses. This is because by connecting and coss promoting, the content can be shared among a wider audience. Communities can be formed where fans can come together and share their experience.
